Neurologist

Caroline had a follow- up appt. at the neurologist today. The doctor was happy and told us we are very lucky. Caroline is very socially alert and responsive to her environment. She asked a lot of developmental questions about her speech , sounds, eating and sleeping patterns. She does not think an EEG is necessary at this time. She does not want us to be concerned about seizure activity unless it occurs. She thinks Caroline will sit un-assisted in the next 6 months and we will not need to return for 6 months. She was pleased that Caroline responds and interacts with her toys and that she can transfer and grasp objects. She has encouraged us to eat cheerios and Gerber snacks to develop her raking skills and to see if she will attempt to self feed with small snacks. So I will probably wait a few more weeks before introducing something new. We are adding an extra PT this week and changing our cereal this week to Barley. We continue to give God the honor for all he continues to do in our lives and through our families. We know all things are possible even in the dark times of life. We rejoice and look forward to celebrating Easter and truly know we serve a RISEN Saviour!

Just had to let you know you got me singing that song all evening yesterday. I love the words...
"I know that He is living, whatever men may say. I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, and just the time I need Him He's always near."

Rejoice!
