Fishing Trip with Daddy! 6-23-08

I took Carley fishing for the first time tonight. She had a blast. In our neighborhood we have a pond with a nice dock. The pond is full of Catfish, Bream, and Bass. We caught bream every single cast. Carley was a pro with her Tigger fishing pole.
Here are the pictures of our first fishing trip together!

One of those days

Ever have one of those days where you are running around for everyone else and you stop at night and feel like you just can't go anymore? Well I have to be honest that I do have some days like that. My life is not perfect and I just felt so tired last night. Caroline did some really great work at PT on Monday with holding her head up from a lying position and putting pressure and propping through her arms and chest I was so excited. Carley has good and bad days. She loves her cousin Laura who comes 2-3 times a week for a couple of hours to "play". She is doing swimming lessons this week and next. She said, "We are not going back to the "Y" Mommy."
The first day she screamed , yelled, and kicked the instructors at the pool and cried and pointed to me like why are you not in here with me - it was pitiful, but I was also mortified that my child was the only one. Day two was better - she loves her teacher - MR. Andy. She blew bubbles and got her face wet, jumped to him and went under as a total surprise to us! Then last night she told me ." Mommy I am a girl and I am in the boy group. I am supposed to be in the girls group." Ok- she is right, but they are ability grouped so now what? So we will try again today for success. I want to decorate my blog and fix it like a scrapbook page, but do not seem to have time to figure it all out!!! I also want to take a nap everyday - wonder how I can do that? HA! HA!

11 months and counting

Today Caroline is 11 months. We can not believe it and feel truly blessed that she is here and very much alive!!!! She is continuing to grow and eat and has increased some amounts in her solids. She also now consumes 21-22 ounces a day with the help of her feeding pump. We are only getting PT right now. I still talk to Early intervention once a week. We are hoping to start that therapy in July and it will be free from the state. We are hoping for speech, physical , and occupational therapy. For now we practice rolling over, sit ups, leg lifts, arm exercises, and reading books. She adores Carley and loves music. She seems to enjoy her Praise Baby CD and yes even the Backyardigans too! Carley is paying more and more attention to her as Caroline reacts to her.

Adventures in Jacksonville

Well today we took off for another adventure in Jacksonville. In between unpacking our house on the weekends we have been taking small adventures around the city. Todays adventure was Amelia Island and the beach you can drive on. We had a blast. Carley took a nap until we found the drive on beach. We had a good time looking at all the sights and let me tell you there were some sights on this beach.
Here are some pictures of our fun day. We have enjoyed exploring in Jacksonville.

This past week

We are busy as usual. We have PT twice weekly and I am driving Caroline and Carley usually goes to the pool or plays with the sitter. We need to also add speech and OT, But I think we will add speech next month. We are also looking into in home therapy to save on gas money and therapy money since Caroline will need lifelong therapy or at least long term. Carley is starting gymnastics on Tuesdays. We are also hoping to start swim lessons next week if anyone will ever call us back. Caroline is at least 13 pounds and eating well. I am so glad they have been able to stay healthy this month. Last weekend we went to Tampa to see Mimi and Papa and visited with old friends. It was lots of fun!
