Neurology Appt!
Caroline had a Dr appt at Neumors yesterday. They weighed her and she is a whopping 18 lbs. So we are getting chubby!!! We met the neurologist, Dr. Hammond. He was very nice and had read up on all of Caroline's medical info. He said she looked really good and was impressed that she was sitting and responding and playing patty cake and peek -a-boo. He asked if she ate solids and responded to pain etc....So he was impressed and said since she is still seizure free we do not need to see you except for once a year unless otherwise. So we rejoice in that news and are grateful that we have not had seizure activity. He said it appears she is normal and healthy inside. I said yes - as far as we know today!!!! He seemed pleased yet stumped by this disorder. So I wanted to say well we all are and we take It one day at a time and are thrilled with the daily discoveries along that way. We will go back to GI and nutrition in Nov as well as genetics to check on weight progress and the new formula. Caroline is plugging along!!! We appreciate all of the continued thoughts and prayers. I am going to scrapbook tonight at home with some new friends. Cam will take the girls to Chick -fil- a or ice cream while I crop!!!!

PT and Speech Update
Caroline is now sitting after positioning, but sitting on her own with very close supervision. It is very exciting for us!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are also doing speech twice a week now and experimenting with language, sign language and food textures. We are still working on identifying facial body parts. We have a new little device to use daily 5-10 minutes to help stimulate oral facial muscles. It is called a Vibe Five.
So all of you who need ideas for birthday and Christmas we have a catalog full of speech and PT things to get for Caroline. The company is out of Greenville, SC and is called Super Duper. It is family owned and operated. We also will be looking into small leg braces and a stander for Caroline in the next 6-8 months to assist with standing and walking. We are excited about all of the new things we will soon be able to use to help Caroline develop. We have used most of her birthday money. We bought her speech machine and have transitioned into cloth diapers - yeah - I know shocking, but cute and more economincal. Caroline will be in diapers much longer than Carley so we invested in cloth grow with me diapers for home use.We still have to use a disposable diaper at night due to the amount of liquid she consumes at night. There is a new toy we are looking into buying from Fischer Price to help with neck and back muscles too.

Carley's Firsts..............
Carley is growing up fast and I am excited to see her learning new things and becoming so independent. This week was her first day of pre-school. Last week was her first week of dance. And two weeks back was her first trip to the dentist. Enjoy these pictures of her!
