Goodbye Charlotte

We are here! We drove seven hours yesterday with the help of Cameron and Papa James. Lucy, the boat, two kids and two vehicles - I am sure we looked like the Beverly Hill Billies. I think I will have to write my own lyrics to the 12 days of moving. Anyone who has moved form a faraway place knows the hardships of relocating.
On the first day of moving we slept in an empty house on an air mattress and Cameron got sick... (In the early am Cameron got sick all night throwing up and etc...)
On the second day of moving Carley woke up with a sick tummy too! - yuck!!!
On the third day of moving Carley finger painted her toys with honey mustard and the place mats in the corporate apt while I was in the shower.
I can hardly wait to see what happens tomorrow. HA HA!!!
Caroline is sweet and seems to have a little cold - she is down on her ounces and only weighed 12.5 ounces at her 9 month check. She seems to be happy. Her speech is not progressing and by that I mean baby sounds. I was prepared for this. We are still doing bits of sign language. I know she is aware of us and all we do, but seems to not be able to get sound out. Some days it makes me sad because I want to fix it for her. I am awaiting more information on getting our speech and PT services set up here. We have an orthopedic appt on July 3, 2008 to check on scoliosis. We close on our Charlotte house tomorrow and on the new house on Wednesday. I will be in touch after we move in the house.

Moving Day

Caroline went to the ENT today - ears are all clear! PTL! We also went back to Dr. D yesterday for breathing meds - she is very wheezy and now we have 3 meds for this. So hopefully by next week we will be better. We will leave Charlotte next weekend and begin again in a new place. My hear t is saddened. I do look forward to meeting new families and more opportunities for us to be together and grow as a family. My hope is to meet others so that we may be a light in someones darkness. The good news is it will not mater if I change places because I will be able to keep up with all of you through e-mail and our blog. Please pray for successful closings with no glitches and that things will be easy with all the transition during the next seven days. Much love.

Sick

Caroline is sick Again!!!!!!!!! We are going to see Dr. Downing tomorrow am. She has had wheezing, coughing and major congestion. Same thing as last time. We have been doing nebulizer treatments, vicks, sitting in steam showers, and lots of cupping on her back. She is drinking her milk, but not wanting to eat solids. Please pray for Caroline to get well and stay well until we are transitioned to Florida. Also pray for all of the closings involved next week to go smoothly. I am worried that she has not gained much weight since we have removed her oil and polycose from her feedings.

Home Again! Home Again!!!

We found a beautiful home and it is move in ready - so Movers will come around April 26-27 and we will be on our way! We pray both closings go successfully. One is on April 29 and the other is set to close on April 30th. Praise be to God for all his provisions! We will be in Duval County and Cam's aunt will be a wealth of resources for Caroline and her needs and help us to get the services we need through the system. This was also another provision for us. Carley has a small pre-school that she is registered for September at the church we will probably go to as well. The next task is doctors and more doctors for Caroline. Please feel free to write or call in the next two weeks as it will only get more hectic after that. Thanks again for all of your prayers and thoughts for our family!

House

We are in negotiations for a contract - please pray for peace and a complete smooth sale. We are going to be in Fl and back next week. I may be away from a computer. Just keep us in mind during all this transition.

Healing and Rolling

Caroline is home and doing fine! Thanks for all of your prayers lifted up for a safe and smooth procedure. We have a house showing today. More prayers. Caroline has had a nap and drank a whole bottle. She is sweet as pie and is lip smacking at us in a complete response mode. I cannot describe to you how wonderful it is to be able to engage her and communicate with her. We will start speech therapy on Monday. We will have PT again tomorrow. We are weighing around 12 pounds this week. She rolled over yesterday after lunch time from her back to her tummy!!!Yeah!!!! Caroline will be 9 months in 1 week.
